Please don’t ignore this from the NRA
The below e-mail is being sent out to members with an SCC – not everyone has received it yet.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of Shooters Certification Cards (SCCs) for Digital Wallets, and are delighted to enclose your digital SCC card, which can be added to your Apple or Google Digital Wallet.
You can now carry your SCC card everywhere you go and simply present it on your phone when requested.
We do hope you will take advantage of this addition to the digital wallet.

If you want the physical card, you can simply e-mail the NRA using the e-mail above and ask; they’re happy to help..
It’s a personal choice, but we would prefer a card as it’s simpler and easier to see without having to get out your mobile and open the app. A card is not battery-dependant, and works even in the pouring rain (well, it is Sealand !)
We would welcome comments (below) by those who have elected to try the electronic system, as we have heard of some problems.
That’s all well and good but what are they doing about the 6.5mm situation ??

The last time I tried to get a reply I was fobbed off with almost the exactly the same reply as their website. I wasn’t aware that the NRA and MoD were colleagues……
I have added my SCC to my digital wallet but also sent an email to the NRA requesting a physical card.
Initially, I received no response so followed up and did then receive the following response:
“Your club secretary will inform us how they would like to receive the cards going forward. If you contact them and specify you still require a physical card.”
I was hoping for better!

I agree with you a small lightweight wallet fitting card as it is live at present would be much better. As you said, Rain, sleet even snow, excessive heat temperature and batteries on mobiles could be an issue on the range. Thanks for asking for physical renewal cards on our renewal much more sensible.
