2025 Spotty competition – for discussion and YOUR input please
The “Spotty” competition has not been well supported, with only two people entering over the past two years. How about opening it up a bit to allow more people to enter?
What about –
- Any fullbore rifle
- Any sights
- Supported
- Five rounds
- One minute
- Fullsize PSA target (or smaller?)
Would YOU enter under these rules?
We can discuss this at the de-briefings as well, but we’d really like your views, so please use the “reply” box below to let us know. (This is particularly important to the two members who have entered so far.)
As long as i can shoot supported i am happy to join. I cannot aim reliably unsupported….

Full size PSA target is too easy. The current spotty target is challenging, which is what this comp is all about.
I think if we did it it would have to be along the lines of our current Centrefire Precision comp.
Score and then group size to decide.
Not sure how we could run the points though.
It’s ALL up for discussion. We also have smaller targets which might be one way forward. The difficulty is that only two people have entered over the past two years, and we’d like to open it up a bit. Perhaps more publicity to the current competition, but with outward gauging? Just a thought, nothing more.
