SUMMARY:The Annual Prizegiving Dinner -  WEDNESDAY 11th December 2024
DESCRIPTION:The results of the survey we set up earlier in the year made it clear that a Wednesday in December was the clear winner for the date. \nWe have managed to reserve the same room at the Neston Cricket Club\, but we will need to know the numbers\, as below a certain level the costs become untenable. \nWe have been looking into the catering options and we will leave the ticket price at £25 – the same as last year.  This price has been heavily subsidised so that as many members and their family and guests can come along without breaking the bank! \n

DESCRIPTION:We are more than a little disapointed and annoyed about this\, as I know you are\, but It seems that the MoD have a better form of weather forecasting than the rest of the world\, so they know that there will be flooding at Sealand in two weeks time. \nI am typing this at 11:30 on Friday 24th November – the day that we would have been shooting there – but we KNOW that there are no floods at Sealand today. \nWe are not the only ones to be cancelled\, and we have taken the matter up with Landmarc who run the ranges for the MoD\, and who will be losing money due to these cancellations. \nExactly what the truth is\, I have no idea.  We have also asked the NRA if they can help. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Saturday July 8th 2023 -  BRIMSTAGE -      BARBECUE EVENT
DESCRIPTION:There have been a number of requests for this sort of event to be held during the summer months\, and (thanks to Alex!) we now have this date at Brimstage. \nThere are a few things to be confirmed yet such as the menu (including  vegetarian options\, general format and so on)  which we’ll post here are soon as we know.  The cost will be £10 per head\, including the shoot beforehand of course. \nWe’ll need to know numbers before 18:00 on Wednesday 5th July so that we can buy the food etc.    If you want a vegetarian option\, please also let us know\, as these will have to be booked. \nThis is an event at which your family and friends are very welcome\, and always very informal. \nAir rifles\, air pistols\, CO2 guns\, softairs\, paintball guns\, crossbows\, any form of bow and arrow\, – all are welcome. \nWe’ll have plenty of targets – and you can bring your own as well.  We will have a couple of club guns and a set of archery kit for anyone who wants to try it (although to reassure members\, we are not becoming an archery club )
