DESCRIPTION:Now confirmed.  Initially we will not have any club guns or ammunition\, but as things progress that may well change. \nThe range is very sheltered\, but if the weather is cold it would be best to dress accordingly.   Remember that parking at the range is limited\, so it really will help us if you can let us know if you’ll be coming.  It might be a good idea to share transport as well. Another good idea is to wear wellies ! \nWhat three words – CALL HOME PROMOTION – it’s about 8.3 miles south of Ruthin on the A494. \nPlease keep checking the website\, as things can change quickly !

Note that there is a one-way system for entry and exit to the site – I’ve shown the “IN” route.

SUMMARY:SATURDAY 17th January - Wern Ddu shoot
DESCRIPTION:This will be our first fullbore shoot of 2026 and our very first at the private Wern Ddu 100 yard range. It will also be from 10:00 to 15:30. \nIt’s about 30 miles from Sealand on the A494\, to the South-West of Ruthin. Hamper. Electrode. finalists  are the “What Three Words” needed to identify the entrance to the range. \nThe full address is: “‘Wern Ddu Quarry\, Gwyddelwern\, Corwen\, Denbighshire\, North Wales\, LL21 9DU.” \nIt’s important that you let us know beforehand that you will be coming so that we make the necessary arrangements – parking is apparently a bit restrictive\, but I’m sure we’ll manage. \nNote that if you haven’t got a sound moderator on your fullbore rifle you will have to shoot through a “tyre tunnel.” \nThere are no restrictions on calibre or type of  (legal !) firearm you can use here so 6.5 is welcome\, as are black powder pistols\, shotguns etc. \nThere are NO target supports/frames\, so you will need to bring a large cardboard box to stick targets on\, or a couple of garden canes or similar\, with wire or string between them to clip targets onto.
