Sadly, there is a lot of nonsense and extremely bad legal advice posted on the web about firearms law – even some of the advice given on police websites is biased, out of date or wrong.
If you need advice about firearms and the law, you should contact your shooting organisation for help – they will generally give you good, unbiased advice – which comes free with your subscription.
You’re NOT a member of a shooting organisation like the BASC, NRA, NSRA etc?
You must remember that these organisations are there to preserve the sport, and to help you – so if you’re not a member of any of them, you might seriously think about joining, if only for the legal advice and insurance.
