Saturday 25th May 2019 – Sealand A Range. YES – it IS ON !
May 25 @ 08:30 - 12:30
LAST UPDATE (We hope) 14:12, 21/5/19
Nesscliff has authorised our use of A range because Oswestry R&PC have kindly gone to shoot at 200 metres. We owe Oswestry !
FURTHER UPDATE – 13:03, 21/5/19
We have contacted Oswestry R&PC who have very kindly offered to shoot at 200 metres on B range so that we can use A range.
We have informed MoD Nesscliff of this, and we await full clearance – watch this space !
AN UPDATE – 12:06, 21/5/19.
The MoD have invoked the 200 Mil rule about shooting at Sealand (after 40 odd years.) This means that when the 300 or 400 yard firing point on B range is in use, A range firing point falls partially into the danger area, and therefore cannot be used.
We’re told this has only just come to light, as the arrangements were made for both ranges to be used before the current commandant took office.
We have left messages with Oswestry R&PC who are using B range to see if they can help us – and we await the reply. We’ll put an update here as soon as we can.
